I have over 15 years of experience providing individual, couples, and family counseling to adults and teens in English and Spanish. I specialize in working with Black and brown, Queer, immigrant, and neurodivergent clients. I specialize in eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties, drawing from DBT, ACT, CPT, ERP, and the Gottman Method.
As an affirming therapist, I provide a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your identity, navigate challenges related to coming out, discrimination, and minority stress, and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling — without fear of judgment. I also specialize in LGBTQ+ couples therapy and provide supportive documentation for clients pursuing gender-affirming care. I am committed to understanding the unique challenges you face, including discrimination, family rejection, internalized stigma, coming out, and navigating relationships.
I also specialize in providing couples therapy for LGBTQ+ partners. Queer relationships come with their own nuanced dynamics — from navigating coming out as a couple, to managing differing levels of openness about your relationship, to addressing the impact of societal stigma on your bond. I understand these complexities and provide a space where both partners feel seen and supported as you work through challenges, strengthen your connection, and build the relationship you both deserve.
If you are questioning your gender identity or sexual identity, I am skilled at creating a safe container for you to explore these questions nonjudgmentally and without the pressure of needing to define a label. Your journey is yours, and there is no timeline or expectation — only space to discover what feels true for you.
I will also work extensively to help you find supportive spaces, resources, and communities that affirm your identity, so that the support you receive extends beyond our sessions and into your daily life.
Given the current political climate in Florida, it is particularly critical to access affirming therapy that will not challenge or question your identity. Instead, this space offers safety, encouragement, and celebration of your unique identity. You deserve a therapist who stands firmly in your corner — someone who sees your identity as a strength, not something to be fixed or debated. I am also happy to provide supportive documentation for current clients pursuing gender-affirming care, as needed.
My practice is built on the principles of respect, inclusion, and cultural humility. I continuously educate myself on LGBTQ+ issues and strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued for exactly who you are.
