I’m a queer Vietnamese American therapist offering telehealth therapy for BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent, and geeky clients in Illinois, Florida, and Virginia. My practice is rooted in cultural humility, social justice, and a deep respect for the complexity of your lived experience. I specialize in complex trauma with a focus on relational healing, dissociation, and how our nervous systems adapt to survive long-term harm especially in the context of family violence, abuse and neglect, and systemic oppression.
Much of my work also explores the impact of generational trauma and the possibilities of ancestral healing. I honor how trauma can be carried through family systems and cultural histories and how reconnection, grief, and resilience can live there too.
In our work together, you’ll find a warm, affirming space where all parts of you are welcome. I integrate Parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR/Four Blinks, and somatic approaches to support nervous system regulation, trauma processing, and deeper embodiment. I also bring in creative and nontraditional tools like mindfulness, anime, or video games when they offer meaningful ways to connect, explore, or heal.
My approach is relational, curious, and grounded in the belief that you’re not broken. You’ve adapted in ways that have protected you. Together, we’ll make space for healing, reconnection, and living from your most authentic and empowered self.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every person deserves to be met with dignity, compassion, and curiosity. My values are shaped by my identity and lived experience, and by the many stories I’ve held from people navigating trauma, marginalization, and complex identities. I value authenticity, self-determination, cultural humility, and deep relational safety. Because I know healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum; it happens in connection.
In the therapy space, I work to build a relationship that feels collaborative and empowering. That means I move at your pace, honor your boundaries, and center your voice in the process. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life but as someone trained to walk with you through the hard parts, hold space for what’s been unspeakable, and help you reconnect with your own wisdom.
My approach blends various evidence-based modalities but these tools are always in service of relationship first. I also acknowledge the broader systems at play whether that’s colonialism, capitalism, racism, queerphobia, generational trauma, or the survival strategies passed down through our families. My goal isn’t just symptom relief. It’s helping you build a life that feels more aligned, more free, and more like your own.
