I’m Zia Assad (she/they), PT, DPT, CLT, PHSC.
I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University in 2018 and have been practicing in outpatient orthopedics ever since. I am a certified lymphedema therapist, sex counselor, and pelvic health specialist.
Our bodies are the vessel through which we experience the world—joy, connection, grief, adventure—and my work centers on helping you navigate those experiences with greater confidence and ease.
I specialize in pelvic health, athletic performance, and gender affirming care, supporting people as they manage pain, reconnect with their bodies, and build lasting change. I have specialized training in pelvic floor physical therapy, neuro-meningeal manipulation, visceral manipulation, manual lymphatic drainage, and gender affirming pelvic health.
My approach is rooted in relationship. I believe that meaningful therapeutic care begins with genuine connection, and collaboration between client and practitioner. Together, we create a space where you feel safe, supported, and listened to.
Care is personalized, collaborative, and grounded in a whole-body approach – including the musculoskeletal, visceral, and nervous systems. Whether you’re addressing pain, deepening your relationship with your sexual health, or striving to enhance athletic performance, your plan of care is built around your individual goals and lived experience.
