Mara is an an integrative occupational therapist blending bodywork and somatic approaches to help clients do more of what matters to them. What is integrative occupational therapy? It works with body, mind, spirit, identity, roles, community, and everything else that makes us human. The goal is to help you do the things you care about, so you can thrive as well as survive. It’s called “integrative” because of the unique combination of treatment approaches leaning on current neuroscience research, the wisdom of skilled healers before us, and subtle listening. Modalities offered include somatic experiencing, lymphatic drainage massage, craniosacral therapy, neurolymphatic drainage, visceral manipulation, myofascial release, executive function training, and building interoception. In all their work, Mara is intentional about being fat positive, queer and trans celebrating, neurodiversity affirming, anti-racist, kink and polyamory friendly, pagan welcoming, and liberation-minded. They see adults at their downtown Silver Spring, MD office or online in DC, MD, and VA.
