I am a queer OBGYN in Chicago that provides comprehensive care for LGBTQ+ patients. In addition to sexual and reproductive healthcare, I also provide gender-affirming hormone therapy and gender-affirming gynecologic surgery. Every staff member in my office has received training in caring for queer patients and our office is dedicated to being an affirming space for LGBTQ+ patients. I have been involved in LGBTQ+ healthcare since 2016, and have led initiatives at both Yale and Northwestern to improve healthcare for LGBTQ+ people. This work is my passion.
Some of my practice areas include:
– Gender-affirming hormone therapy for any adult of any gender
– Gender-affirming gynecologic surgery, including hysterectomy (removal of uterus/cervix) and oophorectomy (removal of ovaries). Typically done with outpatient robotic surgery
– Gynecologic concerns, including bothersome bleeding, pelvic pain, contraception, fibroids, ovarian cysts, cervical cancer screening, sexual medicine, STI screening/prevention/treatment, and menopause
– Pregnancy care including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum
