I am a gender care specialist and studied LGBTQIA+ populations and best practice care in both my graduate studies as well as my clinical internship. During my clinical internship I worked under a highly experienced gender care expert, and learned the W-Path standards for gender care letters so they are accepted by major insurance companies. I currently offer both gender care letters for surgeries as well as on-going supportive care to those on their gender identity and queer identity journeys. I also use trauma-informed systemic theories such as feminist theory to help my clients navigate the societal pressures and oppression that impacts them deeply while also taking into account their individual experiences. Additionally, as a Demi-sexual person, I have lived experience that informs my approach to providing mental healthcare from a queer person’s real lived experience.
