Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a bisexual, cisgender woman. My entire life I have been surrounded by the support of my queer friends, and don’t know who I would be without my queer identity. I strive to reduce mistreatment in laboring care for LGBTQ+ birthers, and provide a safe and understanding space for queer, expecting couples. As a queer woman, I understand the complications and prejudices against queer couples, and the homophobia/transphobia that persists in the delivery space.
I want every birthing person to feel comfortable and confident in their pregnancies, and to know they are incredibly loved. If you are a couple with a surrogate, I want to make sure everyone is a part of the birth, while maintaining the care of the surrogate birther. If you are a queer couple where one of you is expecting, I want to make sure your love is validated while protecting your wishes for the birth. Overall, I strive to be a person who understands that love is love is love and all birthers deserve the birth they want, with someone who will advocate for their care.
