I have been working in the mental health field for over a decade. I have degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and a Masters in Social Work. Within that time I have worked with a multitude of diverse individuals in various settings. I specialize with the GLBTQIA communities, with a focus on the Trans* Community. As a member of this community, I am passionate about providing accessible mental health services to those needing therapeutic support.
Fundamentally, I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with combinations of humanistic, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches where clients will have their therapy designed to meet their personal goals. I believe in providing my clients with skills to help them in navigating their lives and fostering social and emotional health and well-being.
I have experience with treating a wide range of mental health diagnosis in correlation to working with individuals both in community and in incarcerated environments. Over the last decade, I have found that connecting with clients using a holistic approach generates mind & body healing and overall wellness. I chose to be a mental health provider because I believe that we are here to help others. What I love most about being a psychotherapist is seeing your personal growth, as well as meeting and surpassing your goals and expectations.
