I’m Bethany, a perinatal therapist and full-spectrum doula based in New Orleans, Louisiana. My work is rooted in reproductive/birth justice, bodily autonomy, and queer + trans affirming care. I offer therapy and doula support for folks of all genders, bodies, and family structures navigating conception, pregnancy, postpartum, reproductive loss and grief, and birth trauma. I’m especially passionate about supporting queer and trans families, including those pursuing donor conception, solo parenthood, adoption, and other nontraditional paths to building a family.
I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional through Postpartum Support International, helping folks navigate mental health before and after birth. I’m also certified as a full-spectrum doula through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT), with training centered on supporting Black, queer, trans, and disabled birthing people. My background includes work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and other forms of trauma.
I believe people of all identities, families, bodies, choices, and lived experiences deserve respect, and that bodily autonomy does not disappear when a person becomes pregnant or enters a healthcare setting. Feel free to check out my website for more info on my background, current offerings, and to set up a consultation- I look forward to working with you!
