I have over a decade of experience providing services to LGBTQ folx living with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and burnout.
I’m passionate about working with clients to explore their identities, gender, and sexuality. I strive to empower you to pursue your passions, achieve your goals, and celebrate your talents. As a queer woman, my approach to therapy is trauma-informed, sex-positive, and anti-oppressive. I believe the relationship is the most powerful aspect of therapy and is built on trust, understanding, and openness. I realize how important it is to have a queer therapist who knows the unique needs and strengths of the community.
I specialize in supporting survivors of abuse towards healing and recovery as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have completed the State of Illinois and the State of Michigan’s Domestic Violence training. Prior to establishing my own private practice, I was previously the Director of the Anti-Violence Project at a local LGBTQ community center, I recognize how queer and trans community members are particularly impacted by violence and discrimination. With facilitating over hundreds of trainings through my professional and volunteer work, I have educated healthcare providers, social services staff, and researchers on how to deliver affirming care to LGBTQ community. I have also volunteered for a trans-led grassroots organization to provide support to trans folx and their families.
