Hello, I’m Dannie (they/them/he/him). I moved to the Twin Cities 1.5 years ago from Stillwater, Oklahoma. I am a therapist, educator and researcher serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Behavioral Health within the University of Minnesota health care system. My research and clinical work seeks to inform and improve health care interventions for gender diverse and sexually expansive communities, particularly transgender and non-binary (TNB), consensually non-monogamous (CNM), neurodivergent, and queer adolescent populations. My professional experiences include six years of clinical training as a therapist, nine years of collaborative queer-centered community research, and in 2024, a predoctoral internship with focused training in sex and gender therapy at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health (ISGH), as well as various opportunities to educate Fairview clinicians about gender affirming letter-writing, sex-positive sexual health, and multi-partner relationships. As a neurodivergent, transmasculine, polyamorous queer person and first-generation college graduate, I would love to use my academic and clinical expertise to further connect with and advocate for our community. I am currently preparing for the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology to become a licensed psychologist, as well as working towards my AASECT certification as a sex therapist.
