I am a queer, BIPOC Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and NCCAOM Diplomate based in Chicago, Illinois, with Puerto Rican, and Irish heritage. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming care for LGBTQIA+ communities and people of all identities and body types. I believe healthcare should be safe, collaborative, and accessible for everyone.
I specialize in fertility and reproductive health across the lifespan, with extensive experience supporting queer and non-binary patients on their family-building journeys, including pre- and post-embryo transfer care. I also treat psycho-emotional conditions (anxiety, depression, stress), headaches/migraines, allergies, and provide cosmetic acupuncture services such as microneedling and nanoneedling.
My clinical approach integrates Health at Every Size (HAES) principles, weight neutrality, and body inclusivity, challenging the harm caused by weight stigma and heteronormativity in traditional healthcare settings. Every patient is respected as the expert of their own body.
To ensure an affirming environment, my practice uses gender-neutral intake forms, pronoun fields, and inclusive policies, creating a space where LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse individuals feel safe and respected. My experience working primarily within queer communities in Chicago informs every aspect of my approach, from communication to treatment planning.
I have completed continuing education in Trauma-Informed Care for LGBTQIA-Inclusive Acupuncture through the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture. This training deepened my ability to understand the intersections of identity, trauma, and health while reducing barriers to care for LGBTQIA+ communities.
Beyond clinical work, I design accessible wellness workshops focused on self-care tools like ear seeds and acupressure for stress relief, rooted in healing justice and cultural humility.
I had top surgery earlier this year and I sought out microneedling services and acupuncture to help improve the appearance of my scars. I’m 3 sessions in and my scars are fading. Eleanor is kind and partners with you to help you achieve your health and aesthetic goals. She’s awesome. 10/10 would definitely reccomend!
Eleanor and I have been working together to help me conceive. My family is queer and I sought treatment with a number of other providers before settling on working with Eleanor. She let me know that my partner was always welcome and she ended up treating my partner during our fertility journey as well. She was very knowledgable and helped me advocate for what I needed when working with a local fertility clinic here in Chicago. My partner and I just welcomed our baby into the world in October and we will forever be grateful for her warmth and gentle guidance as we navigated this overwhelming season in our lives.
