Hello! My name is Ezra Ashauni (he/they). I am currently an intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grounded Wellbeing.
I am committed to creating a non-judgmental, affirming therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. My clinical interests include internal family systems (IFS), attachment-based approaches, and gender-affirming therapy with adolescents and young adults. My therapeutic style is rooted in authentic connection, blending warmth and humor with accountability, to support clients in both feeling safe and being challenged toward growth.
In my professional experience, I have worked with clients navigating attachment issues, identity exploration, family conflict, and minority stress. In our sessions, we’ll explore what affirmation and gender euphoria uniquely mean to you. Together, we will also address challenges such as lack of familial support and work to build and strengthen support systems outside the home. I believe that every person holds the tools for their own success and healing. As a counselor, I aim to help clients identify patterns, reconnect with their values, and move toward meaningful change.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a lifelong athlete—I’ve played basketball, volleyball, and football—and currently serve as captain of a local LGBTQ+ travel league team that competes in tournaments nationwide. My passion for mental health stems from my own early experiences navigating identity in an unaffirming environment. My goal as a therapist is to ensure that every person receives the affirmation they deserve as they explore themselves and the world around them.
