I bring over 15 years of experience as a licensed clinician and more than 24 years of practice as a social worker.
Personally, I believe deeply in equality for all. I believe in the importance of being seen and heard—because I know what it feels like not to be.
I grew up in the foster care system, moving between families that were not my own. As a child, I often felt like an outsider—like I didn’t belong. It felt as though that sense of difference was written across my forehead. I often felt misunderstood.
In my early twenties, I became friends with several individuals who identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community. They made a lasting impression on me—not because they were different, but because they were unapologetically themselves. I admired their courage and authenticity and longed to feel that same sense of confidence within myself.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with many LGBTQ+ clients. As a cisgender, heterosexual woman, I consider it a true honor to continue supporting and learning from this community.
Thank you for seeing me and for considering what I bring to this profession. I promise to see you as well—to honor your story, your identity, and to support you through whatever brings you to therapy.
