I knew from a young age that I loved babies and found I had a knack for understanding and caring for them. After studying classical music in college, I decided that it made sense for me to pivot and focus on a career in childcare.
Over the course of my career as a professional nanny and newborn care specialist, I’ve learned that I also love taking care of parents. In a similar way to watching an infant’s personality grow as they develop, it’s rewarding to see new parents develop their parenting style and grow more confident in their own ability to care for their children. I trained as a postpartum doula because I saw how support in the fourth trimester made a difference in the family’s long-term well-being, and wanted to do what I could to help.
I now live in St Petersburg, Florida, and serve the Tampa Bay area. I believe that everyone deserves postpartum support not despite race, gender, or sexual identity, but in a way that takes into account the specific needs of those groups.
When I’m not busy supporting growing families, I enjoy needlework, swimming, and spending time with my wife and cats.
