Carolyn Milles, MS, RDN, LD is a registered dietitian and the founder of CV Wellbeing, a weight-inclusive, anti-diet nutrition counseling practice rooted in compassionate, individualized care. Carolyn provides nutrition therapy for clients navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, digestive concerns, chronic health conditions, and complex relationships with food and body. Her approach is grounded in Health at Every Size® principles, body respect, trauma-informed care, and the belief that all people deserve access to healthcare that honors their lived experience.
Carolyn is committed to creating a supportive and affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients, including transgender, nonbinary, queer, and gender-expansive individuals. She recognizes that LGBTQ+ people often face higher rates of eating disorders, body image distress, weight stigma, medical trauma, and barriers to affirming healthcare. In her work, Carolyn avoids assumptions about bodies, identities, health goals, food choices, family structures, and lived experiences. She strives to use respectful language, honor each client’s name and pronouns, and collaborate in a way that supports autonomy, safety, and trust.
Carolyn’s nutrition counseling does not center weight loss or body conformity. Instead, she supports clients in building a more sustainable and supportive relationship with food, movement, health, and body image. For LGBTQ+ clients, this may include exploring the impact of gender dysphoria, body discomfort, trauma, dieting history, medical stress, digestive symptoms, eating disorder recovery, or identity-related stressors on eating patterns and nourishment.
