I am an openly queer and gay psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and board certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in Washington, DC. I specialize in queer-affirming therapy, helping LGBTQ+ individuals navigate identity development, stress, trauma, life transitions, and the impact of systemic oppression. As a Gestalt therapist, I take an experiential & somatic approach, helping clients access emotions beyond intellect to foster deep healing and transformation.
My practice is intersectional & multicultural, centering queer experiences across race, gender, neurodivergence, and relationship structures. Whether you’re questioning your identity, unpacking internalized messages, or seeking support in a world that often feels unwelcoming, I provide a space where all of you is seen & affirmed. I support clients in breaking stuck patterns, building self-trust, and reconnecting with their full, authentic selves.
I have specialized training in LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based stress reduction, polyvagal-informed therapy, and somatic processing. My work is rooted in liberation psychology, queer theory, and body-based healing practices. I am passionate about helping those who feel “different” or “out of place” build a sense of safety in their body, reconnect with joy, and trust themselves again.
If you’re interested in working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Let’s explore this together.
Need to use insurance? I am in network with BlueCross BlueShield (aka Carefirst) plans. I applied for many other networks and am still waiting to hear back.
I provide therapy via teletherapy online. At the moment, I am only licensed in DC and so you’ll need to be in Washington, DC, while joining therapy sessions online.
