Much of our suffering is rooted in not understanding how our nervous system regulates and responds to stress. Without understanding, experiencing our nervous system can be overwhelming. We were never taught how to listen to our body. But without connecting to our emotions in our body, we can get lost in anxious, stressed, and depressed thought cycles. Or when there is trauma, we doubt what we feel and seek to ignore and suppress our awareness. It is hard to listen to our bodies when there is so much pain.
I teach my clients to cultivate a sense of safety by befriending their nervous system, developing an embodied intuition, and trusting their inner self. We can work on helping you build a sense of trust and rest in your body, learn new ways of relating with the self and our world, and process unfinished business, repressed emotions, trauma, and grief.
As a therapist, I provide culturally-sensitive, neurodiversity-affirming, and sex-positive therapy. As a person, I practice Zen Buddhism and eco-spirituality.
