Hello, my name is Hannah Muller, thank you for taking some time to read about me. I am a board certified art therapist and counselor currently working towards licensure. I have experience counseling a wide array of clients utilizing both cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and art therapy interventions, and enjoy facilitating individual and group therapy.
As an art therapist and psychotherapist, I utilize a humanistic and person-centered approach in sessions in order to foster client empowerment, catered to each unique individual’s needs. I believe that the therapeutic alliance between the therapist and the client is vital to the therapeutic setting, and so I strive to achieve a creative, judgement free, and empathetic environment for sessions to transpire. As a queer individual who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I aim to advocate for my clients through assisting them in a way that will promote lasting differences individually, communally, and systemically. When differences are celebrated rather than shamed, this fosters connection and validation of lived experiences.
I have taken trainings through the Safe Zone Project, as well as various other trainings that have been trans-identity informed as well as BDSM informed trainings. In addition to this, I attend queer networking events on a semi-regular basis.
My goal is to help lift you up so you can reach your full potential through assisting you in finding the right resources that can ultimately empower you and build upon your resilience. I strive for my clients to feel comfortable being themselves, and that they are supported and cared for in their identities, so that they can make progress towards the life they want!
