Jaime Stevens, MD, MPH (they/them, she/her), is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. They graduated from Johns Hopkins with a degree in Behavioral Biology, completed a post-baccalaureate program at Tufts, earned an MD and MPH at UCONN, and completed general psychiatry residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital before child/adolescent fellowship at the University of Maryland/ Sheppard Pratt Hospital. They have training in trauma therapy and school-based mental health, publications and presentations in diverse sex, sexualities, and genders. They have a volunteer clinical faculty appointment at the University of HI School of Medicine in addition to work with many volunteer organizations locally and nationally.
Dr. Stevens’ interests include working with LGBTQIATS+/māhū and gender diverse patients; health in native communities and schools; telemental health; underserved and culturally diverse populations; deaf and hard of hearing patients; transitional age youth; women’s and reproductive psychiatry; serious/persistent mental illness; disruptive behaviour; developmental disorders; neurodiversity; integrative psychiatry; somatic treatments; emergency psychiatry; multidisciplinary teamwork; medical education; clinical research; wrap-around services; medical ethics; systems of care; international psychiatric delivery models; and public health.
In free time they enjoy discovering new places and cultures, learning hula, going down wikitrails, trying out new recipes, connecting with ‘ohana and old friends, being an auntie to many keiki, and spending time in the ocean.
