Hi, I’m Jakob, a licensed massage therapist and the owner of Olympia Massage Alchemy, a small, independent practice in Olympia, WA.

I started this work because I wanted to create something I didn’t always see growing up or even as an adult—healthcare spaces where queer people can actually relax. Not just be tolerated, but feel safe, respected, and understood in their bodies.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ inclusive, gender-affirming, and body-positive. That means no assumptions, no weird energy, no having to explain yourself. Consent is central to how I work, and every session is collaborative—whether you’re coming in for pain relief, injury support, nervous system regulation, or just to have a place where your body can soften for a bit.

My approach blends clinical and intuitive work. I focus on things like myofascial release, therapeutic massage, cupping, lymphatic drainage, and stretching—especially for folks dealing with chronic tension, stress, or mobility issues. I also know how much queer and trans bodies can carry, physically and emotionally, and I try to meet that with care that’s actually responsive, not one-size-fits-all.

Outside the treatment room, I’m a pretty grounded, community-oriented person. I’ve lived in Olympia for over 20 years (Originally from Canada) and care a lot about this place and the people in it. I love dogs, gardening, yoga, and anything that gets me out into the woods or lets me be a little creative. I identify as a transgender man and I use (he/him) pronouns, I am biracial and hope to provide a safe space for anyone looking for self care in Olympia.
