Many of us come to therapy during periods of enormous distress, of feeling stuck, or of wanting relief from the vicissitudes of life. I believe there is a secret or a message in the distress that has taken root in us, and this distress is an invitation to slow down and become curious about what might need our attention. In doing so, we can access the wholeness which dwells within all of us.
For therapy to be beneficial, therapy needs to be centered on safety and trust. As you embark on this journey toward self-awareness and healing, and as you turn toward parts of yourself that are less familiar, disowned, or are burdened by pain, I will strive to provide a space that is warm, compassionate, and filled with a deep reverence for your lived experience. I also work with a recognition of the ways in which our identities inform how we navigate the world.
I am process-oriented, relational, and collaborative. Additionally, I place an emphasis on early developmental experiences, family dynamics, and cultural identities as they relate to your present concerns. I will tailor my approach to your specific needs while emphasizing your unique strengths.
I would be honored to accompany you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery, and I look forward to meeting you.
