I am a cis, queer identifying birth doula. I provide pre-conception, prenatal, birth/labor, and postpartum support to families through the perinatal period. I studied politics and gender studies in undergrad, am a certified labor doula, trained crisis counselor, and have a specialty in working with folks with previous trauma. I train other healthcare professionals on how to be LGBTQ+ affirming through the perinatal period, and have done extensive grassroots activism for LGBTQ+ causes. I have served a wide variety of families, including IUI and fertility planned, gestational carriers and surrogates, hospital and home birth, single parents and multi-parent families. I live with my girlfriend (now fiancee!) and young child outside Baltimore, and serve families within 60 miles. I have experience with breast and chestfeeding families, induced lactation, and formula feeding. I complement my doula services with meditative/hypnosis support if requested, and extensive fetal positioning/physical therapy support. I am a trauma informed provider, and train other birth workers and health professionals on how to be trauma informed.
