Kellan graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition Science. She completed her post-baccalaureate training through the Montana Dietetic Internship in Bozeman and Great Falls, MT. She works at an outpatient clinic in Seattle, WA focused on the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. Kellan is dedicated to providing critical thought and practical dietary recommendations for multiple intersecting identities utilizing a Health-At-Every-Size aligned approach. Kellan deeply values the intrinsic knowledge that each person holds about themselves, and she works to acknowledge both the personal and structural influences on each person’s relationship with food and their body.
As a queer dietitian, Kellan particularly enjoys working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. She has partnered with her best friend + fellow (trans) dietitian, Jacs, to provide gender-affirming nutrition trainings to dietitians across the country. She has also co-authored a case study paper for Dietitians in Nutrition Support focused on nutrition considerations for transgender and gender-diverse patients. She is passionate about increasing access to queer-affirming care through inter-professional education and peer support.
Outside of her work as a Registered Dietitian, Kellan enjoys cooking, trail running, and petting every dog she sees.
