Hello, I go by Leo(he/him). I am from Brazil, and I moved to the US in 2017. My background is in education; however, I have been in the mental health field since 2021. During my MSW, I have taken multiple classes that have strengthened my qualifications to provide high-quality care to the LGBTQIA+ community. Some of my papers were about the transgender community, as it is very clear that they are underrepresented in our literature. Since graduating, I have also taken some CEUs, such as Evidence and Action to Support and Affirm LGBTQI+ Youth (E291), Topics in Human Sexuality: Sexual Disorders and Sex Therapy (E092B), HIV/AIDS: An Overview (E2143C), and Human Sexuality: Across the Lifespan (E262).
