I do several things specific for our community such as transgender care including initiation of hormone therapy, HIV care, and PrEP. I also focus on mental health. Currently seeking AAHIVS credentials and WPATH education. I am also sports medicine fellowship trained as well, and offer full spectrum non-operative orthopedics. I practice full spectrum family medicine for all concerns. As a member of the community, I strive to ensure quality care for all patients in the community. I ensure everyone is treated with compassion and empathy, and teach those learning under me to do the same. I have recently started a new journey in a private practice clinic that just opened up. I look forward to serving my community!
Doctor Lindsay Porter, is an amazingly awesome Doctor. I couldn’t believe how quickly I felt comfortable with her. She was the first Doctor (& so far only) Doctor I felt comfortable sharing that I am a Bisexual TransWoman. I’m sad that Medical City pulled the funding from the practice she was part of. Before the practice she shared she plans to start her own practice but I have no idea the timeline of that, but hope will happen sometime soon. Technically there were two other Doctors under her supervision that I saw that I’d also shared being trans with, as well as 2 at Plume Health where I’m getting my HRT meds. But all of that is more out of necessity than comfort. With Doctor Porter I truly felt comfortable being me and sharing who I am. I never felt rushed with her and she just really seemed to truly care. Can’t recommend her enough. Wish I could find another Doctor like her, but so far no luck.
