I have 10+ years of experience providing counseling services with the majority of my caseload identifying as members of the LGBTQ+ community. This experience includes working with LGBTQ+ youth and adults between the ages of 8-56, catering to the specific needs that affect LGBTQ+ individuals throughout the lifespan. I completed both LGBTQ+ and specialized Trans* Ally trainings at the collegiate level. I also received two Ally awards for outstanding allyship at Northern Illinois University. I have experience writing letters of readiness for various types of gender-affirming care, including gender-affirming surgeries for adults and HRT/puberty-blocking services for youth. I participated in a “Day on the Hill” event in Springfield with colleagues where our mission was to distribute legislation to Illinois lawmakers on the topic of prohibiting conversion therapy on trans* youth. This legislation eventually passed and was made into law. I organized Aurora Pride Parade participation for a previous group therapy practice. I coordinated and ran the Pride counseling group at a local high school for 2 years. Here are just a few of the many CEU trainings I have completed on the topic of LGBTQ+ care:

OutCare: The LGBTQ+ Trauma-Informed Care Training
