Life has taken twists and turns and continues to
fascinate me. Since I discovered that my professional life’s path was to be a
chiropractor, my career has been a constant companion. Personal and
professional growth are very attractive to me. When I find a technique or course
of learning that speaks to my soul, I commit with enthusiasm and the strength of
purpose to follow it through. Expansion of my understanding is paramount to my
interest and usefulness as a doctor, mentor and healing practitioner.
I’ve always walked the path less traveled in my career and in my life. I am not an
ordinary anything. I push boundaries and I live an authentic life. I am brave and
sometimes I am afraid. 

I am an avid knitter. Nothing comes in the way of my yearly trips to the Maryland
Sheep and Wool Festival. I usually come home with some version of turquoise,
purple or fuchsia yarn and an idea or three for what to knit during the year.

I am the mom of two magnificent adult sons, whose father and I are still good
friends. Most of my life has been spent in relationships with women.
I identify as lesbian.

I have a loving partner who is close with all the other members of my family.
All 4 of my grandkids are furry and have 4 legs. I’m a member of the
Business Women’s Network and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Human
Rights are a cornerstone of my value system. My most important guiding
principle is kindness, to others and to myself. My spiritual life revolves around the inclusive
Center for Spiritual Living in Columbia, MD, where our understanding is that God
is everywhere and where everyone is welcome. 

This philosophy is reflected in my work. The chiropractic care that I practice, in
addition to relieving pain, allows my patients to be authentically themselves
without barriers, structural, nutritional, emotional or mental. My practice is about
health on all levels, at all ages, throughout life. It is about being and staying well.
My patients appreciate my genuine interest in them. I listen and foster a warm,
safe atmosphere where I can provide innovative healthcare that facilitates
effective healing and lifelong wellness.

It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing this work for nearly 40 years. I
love being the Fairy Godmother of Chiropractic and Wellness and
I am ever so grateful to walk the amazing path of my life.
