I am a post-doctoral psychotherapist who specializes in supporting adults navigating identity exploration, intergenerational trauma, relationship challenges, and anxiety. As a proud first-generation Lao American and child of refugees, I bring a deeply personal understanding of cultural identity, belonging, and the nuanced ways these experiences shape mental health.
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and reflective, grounded in relational-cultural theory and thematic psychoanalytic principles. I strive to create a warm, authentic space where clients feel safe to explore their stories, deepen self-understanding, and foster self-compassion. I work at the intersection of personal and systemic experiences, helping clients unpack internalized narratives and reconnect with their authentic selves.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in diverse settings including private practice, community mental health, and university counseling centers. My clinical training includes Wesleyan University, an APA-accredited internship at SUNY Albany, and I am currently completing my postdoctoral fellowship at Tufts University.
I especially enjoy working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, first-generation, and other marginalized clients seeking culturally affirming, anti-oppressive care. It is deeply meaningful to me to support individuals through life transitions, heal relational wounds, and interrupt intergenerational cycles of trauma with care, humility, and humor.
