As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma—including those facing challenges related to identity, family dynamics, and life transitions. My practice is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and cultural humility. I provide affirming, person-centered care tailored to each client’s unique lived experience, with a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals through an inclusive and empowering therapeutic relationship.
I welcome and affirm clients across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, including those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+). My practice is a safe space where your identity is not only respected but celebrated. I recognize the unique stressors that LGBTQ+ individuals often face—including minority stress, internalized stigma, gender dysphoria, and experiences of discrimination—and I work collaboratively with clients to process these experiences with care and dignity.
I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a powerful tool to help LGBTQ+ clients heal from trauma, including complex trauma related to family rejection, bullying, religious harm, or societal marginalization. My clinical work is shaped by an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens that recognizes how race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and other facets of identity interact and influence mental health.
I have completed LGBTQ+ cultural competency and gender-affirming care trainings, and I stay up to date with continuing education focused on queer mental health, trauma recovery, and inclusive clinical practices. I am also a member of professional organizations committed to advancing LGBTQ+ equity in mental health, including [insert relevant memberships if applicable—e.g., WPATH, GLMA, local LGBTQ+ therapist collectives, etc.].
My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe to show up fully as yourself—without judgment, pressure to conform, or the need to educate your therapist. Whether you’re exploring your identity, processing trauma, navigating coming out, or simply seeking a therapist who understands and affirms your experience, I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and self-empowerment.
