Prismatic Therapy is a queer owned and focused practice. It was founded in Northern Virginia as a step towards making affirming therapy more accessible and a safer place to be everything that you are.
What makes queer inclusive therapy different than traditional therapy?
Queer affirming therapy seeks to affirm, rather than change Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + identities and their unique experiences. We recognize and affirm non traditional family structures and relationships, and we work from a sex positive, kink informed perspective.
Everyone needs a place where they can be authentically themselves.

Adult
Megan works from a person centered approach, using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy tools where appropriate. Whether you would benefit from mapping out your past to find how it informs your present, coping with a traumatic past or present experience, or taking steps towards a new future for yourself, we can do that here at Prismatic Therapy.
Adolescent
Megan has worked in a residential setting as an adolescent primary counselor, and as an individual therapist in private practice. She specializes in assisting teens to cope with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use. She enjoys connecting and collaborating with teens as they navigate through various life transitions, such as learning how to overcome stressors such as social anxiety, navigating and sharing their identities, and familial discord.
