I have 15 years of experience working as a mental health clinician in various settings. I have worked extensively with individuals with intellectual disabilities, trauma victims and others needing therapy. I recently completed my certification in Animal Assisted Therapy Interventionist (AAT-I). I have worked with LGBTQ+ clients in several settings over the years and have worked with people who were looking for gender affirming surgery and have been asked to get counseling services before they are cleared for surgery. Over those 15 years, I have found that everyone has gone through negative experiences and those who are brave enough to ask for help and work towards improving their mental health are the ones whose lives are typically transformed for the better. My role in therapy is to help those individuals looking for help to tell their stories and develop coping skills to deal with their stressors and symptoms so that they can live their best lives. I approach all sessions with a non-judgmental attitude and believe it takes a lot of courage to change their lives.
