I am the longest running fully trained Tibetan medical physician in the USA who is not of Himalayan decent. I have been in some form of health and healing since the late 90’s. I lived abroad extensively in Asia during my trainings and I read, write and speak Tibetan. I am married to a Tibetan man who is also a Dr and we have three children.
I am also a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist and I have specialty training in pelvic flood health and acupuncture as well as classical five element acupuncture. I work with chronic and acute conditions with the 4 main modalities used in Tibetan Medicine – Diet, Behavior, Herbal Remedies and External Therapies. My undergraduate work is extensively focused on psychology and trauma repatterining in the body.
I have been treating LGBTQ+ patients for decades and want my office to be a safe space, place to be yourself and support patients holistically in all the ways that living their life deserves. I have served patients who have fully transitioned, those who are in process, or those who just need a place where they can feel heard, seen and understood in seeking help with simple traditional and alternative medicine. Be it a sinus infection, chronic IBS, anxiety, preparing or recovery from top or bottom surgery, and the stresses of being out and the challenges that may affect wellness – all are welcome and respected in my office. I also support those growing their families with pregnancy and beyond no matter what pronouns they use. I will always do my best to make patients feel welcomed and safe to be themselves.
Every BODY is welcome in my practice.
