I am continually looking for training opportunities to improve my client’s experience in the therapy room. It is my goal to create a space where clients feel safe and fully comfortable presenting as their authentic self. I have completed specific training in non-binary, LGBTQ+, and transgender issues and will continue seeking additional opportunities to learn and refine my skills in this area. I take part in the Queer Consultation Group monthly – a space where counselors work together to provide best possible care for their clients. I have completed the following trainings: Trans 101 (HIS Telebehavioral Center of Excellence Webinar Presentation), LGBTQ 101 (HIS Telebehavioral Center of Excellence Webinar Presentation), LGBTQ2 Community Advocacy and Resources (HIS Telebehavioral Center of Excellence Webinar Presentation), Non-Binary Basics Webinar (Transgender Training Institute), and Understanding Trans and Non-Binary Identities Webinar (Transgender Training Institute). I have 2 years of experience working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community as well as 1 year of experience working with individuals navigating non-monogamous relationships.
