Professional: I have attended graduate and post-graduate LGBTQ+ trainings and SAFE SPACE workshops, which includes trainings on conducting and writing letters of support for gender affirming care. I have also taught Diversity + Equity work to undergraduate and Masters in Counseling students. I have held Diversity forums for professionals in the mental health and physical health fields to process their own intersecting identities.
Personal: I have moved through this world as a BIPOC cisgender woman. Identities that are also important to me are being first gen, multiracial/multi-ethnic, and growing up with the struggles of being in a low to low-middle SES/working class family. Moving through different geographies and identities in life has sparked a deep interest in understanding the framework of society and the impact of various intersectional identities over time. My lens was initially through my own marginalized identities and deepened through understanding my privileged ones. With empathy and continued education, my interest is to be a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. I especially want to support folx who are seeking gender affirming care letters. I want to help access to these services by offering one-day assessments, which includes the letter of support. In addition, I am a trauma-focused psychologist that supports connecting with healthcare providers to offer ketamine assisted therapy and psychedelic integration therapy.
