Hello! I’m Siân Marguerite Sheppard (she/her/ella), a queer Chinese medicine practitioner. As the founder and practitioner of Pearl Acupuncture I help people from the entire LGBTQIA++ spectrum by providing general medicine for a wide range of health concerns. I also provide holistic dermatology care.

I am a member of the International TCM Dermatology Association (ITCMDA), and a graduate of the 9 month post-graduate TCM Diploma Course in Chinese Medicine Dermatology. Other credentials include Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2010), Bachelor of Science, Masters of Acupuncture, and Certificate in Chinese Herbs from the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture (2022), and Licensed Acupuncturist through the state of Vermont (2024). I am also a Certified Doula (2014), a Registered Yoga Teacher 200 hrs (2020), and am Reiki Level II Attuned (2023).

I currently provide in-person Chinese medicine at my clinic in Putney, Vermont and community acupuncture throughout Windham County, Vermont. I also offer holistic dermatology care using Chinese herbs and other virtually-appropriate Chinese medical modalities globally & virtually. I am credentialed with a number of insurance companies, and also accept private pay with a number of sliding scale spots based on health goals and need.
