I am a proud bisexual Hispanic woman who has navigated the complexities of a traditionally cis-heteronormative, Eurocentric career path to become a professional Music Therapist and Yoga Instructor. I completed my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University and passed my Music Therapy Board Certification exam (number: 18933) in 2023. I am now the Lead Music Therapist and Yoga Instructor at Creative Remedies, LLC, where I specialize in offering a client-centered, inclusive approach that prioritizes the voices, needs, and lived experiences of my clients—especially those from marginalized communities.
As a neurodivergent clinician, I am deeply committed to creating a trauma-informed, humanistic, and neurologically informed space for healing. My personal journey, shaped by the intersection of my identity as a bisexual woman and my experiences growing up in a marginalized community, has given me the drive to support others who may feel alienated or misunderstood in traditional therapeutic and wellness settings. Navigating cultural and systemic barriers has empowered me to be a strong ally and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and respected.
I offer a wide range of services, including Individual Music Therapy, Group Music Therapy, Couples and Family Music Therapy, individual and group Yoga sessions, and traditional or adaptive Music Lessons. I specialize in (but am not limited to): trauma, childhood trauma, suicide ideation, self-harm, depression, anxiety, BIPOC experiences, LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences, coping skills, grief, women’s issues, and neurodiversity.
My childhood was anything but traditional. I frequently moved between different facilities, and during that time, I encountered the transformative power of music therapy and yoga as forms of healing. These experiences shaped my deep sense of empathy, compassion, and determination to create a safe, open, and supportive environment for others, particularly those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities who have often felt marginalized or excluded.
I’ve worked tirelessly to get to where I am today, drawing on my own lived experiences and evidence-based skills to help my clients achieve their personal healing and growth goals. I remain committed to fostering an inclusive space where all individuals—especially those from marginalized communities—can thrive, heal, and feel empowered.
