I am a Board-Certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist in a boutique private practice serving adults throughout New York via telehealth and in New York City. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, integrating psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention and Habit Reversal Training), psychoanalysis, and thoughtful medication management when appropriate (not as a requirement, but as one of many treatment options). Treatment is tailored to each person’s goals, symptoms, preferences, and stage of life.
I strive to provide an LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed space. My practice welcomes individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, relationship structures, and family constellations.
I am sex-positive, kink-affirming, and welcoming of individuals in consensually non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships. I recognize that diversity in sexuality, gender, and relationships is a normal part of the human experience and strive to understand each person’s values and experiences without making assumptions or pathologizing consensual identities or relationship styles.
In addition to providing psychotherapy and psychiatric care, I am currently pursuing advanced psychoanalytic training as a candidate at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. This training allows me to offer psychoanalysis in addition to psychodynamic and CBT psychotherapy for individuals seeking a deeper exploration of longstanding emotional patterns, relationships, identity, and unconscious processes. Psychoanalysis may be especially meaningful for people who feel “stuck,” who continue to experience distress despite external success, or who have found previous therapies only partially helpful.
My clinical interests include anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (including OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and body dysmorphic disorder), depression, identity development, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship concerns, intergenerational family dynamics, emotionally immature or narcissistic family systems, work-related stress and burnout, reproductive psychiatry, and perinatal mental health. I also enjoy working with healthcare professionals, high-achieving individuals, multicultural and interracial relationships, and those navigating questions of culture, identity, and belonging.
As a 1.5-generation immigrant from a multicultural family, I appreciate the ways that culture, migration, family expectations, and intersecting identities can shape mental health. I strive to practice with humility, curiosity, and respect, recognizing that every person’s lived experience is unique.
Above all, I believe that healing begins with feeling genuinely seen, understood, and respected. My goal is to create a thoughtful, compassionate, and affirming therapeutic relationship where you can bring your whole self, deepen your self-understanding, strengthen resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
