I am a trans masculine clinical social worker with extensive experience in working with transgender and other clients in the LGBTQ community. My top priority is to provide a safe, supportive environment for anyone struggling with their identity, experiences, or beliefs in addition to other mental health concerns. I work with a variety of issues with a focus on PTSD, depression, anxiety, dissociation, trauma, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, relationship difficulties, spirituality and/or religious trauma in addition to other concerns. I am especially passionate about work with anyone seeking a supportive space to heal, discover who they are, or navigate existential concerns, welcoming those of all beliefs in finding connection, hope, and peace. I primarily provide individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents (typically 15 & up).
I have attended and provided trainings for several years primarily concerning care of transgender individuals with workshops ranging from LGBTQ/Trans 101 to in-depth workshops for mental health and other service providers on best-practices in working with trauma-survivors in this population. These presentations have been provided to small groups, multiple medical practices, universities and on a national level with the National Sexual Assault Conference, Philly Trans Health, and A Call to Men among others.
I am dedicated to partnering with my clients to achieve their goals in the way that works best for them, fully supporting their moving towards their authentic, best self. I am a member of the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare Group with extensive expertise in LGBTQ issues. I am dedicated to working with any person who needs space to be heard and treated with compassion.
