My pronouns are she/her/hers. I identify as a cisgender, heterosexual, African-American woman. I believe that all people are to be treated with dignity and respect, and in appreciation (and celebration!) of who they are. Self-love and acceptance is a huge part of my work and I personally value living authentically – which I believe makes for a much more satisfying life.
I am most experienced in providing care to the LGBTQ+ community through my work in university counseling centers, and have received training through these experiences and through my educational background. I also take continuing education courses in this area on a yearly basis. I have facilitated both individual and group therapy for young adults of various gender and sexual identities. Many of my most enjoyable experiences as a therapist have been those in which I was able to provide support to this community.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and currently provide individual therapy in a virtual format to adults across the state of Mississippi. My work also tends to center on perfectionism, OCD, anxiety, and survivors of trauma (particularly sexual assault and domestic violence).
