I’m a psychotherapist who identifies as queer, providing LGBTQIA+-affirming virtual individual therapy. My focus is on clients grappling with a harsh inner critic and self-doubt, which often exacerbate symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, and challenges in navigating life transitions. During our therapy sessions, I cultivate an environment of safety and acceptance. Your right to be seen, heard, and have your experiences validated is paramount in our work together.
I employ a strengths-based and person-centered therapeutic approach, strongly emphasizing the therapeutic alliance. Drawing from various evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure Response Prevention, I tailor interventions to suit each client’s unique needs and preferences.
My approach is shaped not only by ongoing LGBTQIA+ informed and competency trainings, such as the NASW LGBTQIA+ Competencies for Clinician Certificate Program, but also by my own lived experience of being marginalized and facing harassment due to my identity. This personal understanding enhances my ability to empathize with and support clients navigating similar challenges, fostering a deeper level of connection and trust in our therapeutic work together.
