I am a queer identified (Asexual, Panromantic) therapist providing telehealth services across Washington State. My practice targets queer identifying youth and young adults (ages 13 and up) who are needing a safe space and mental health support. I also identify as an ADHDer and provide affirming and safe care for all other neurospicy folks out there. As a larger-bodied person, I also provide fat positive and safe counseling to those with body image issues, disordered eating, or who simply want to work on their relationship with food and their body. My specialties include trauma, identity development, gender care, life transitions, body image, eating disorders, social anxiety, depression, and self-harm/suicidality. I also provide clinical supervision for license candidates and student counselors within the state to support growth and learning for others. In my personal life, I am a caregiver for my disabled parents, a person who lives with chronic illness and pain, and an advocate for anti-capitalist business practice and de-colonizing the healthcare industry in general. I regularly explore my own learning opportunities in these areas.
I hold a master’s degree in Applied Psychology: Emphasis in Mental Health Counseling and hold a Mental Health Counselor license and Child Mental Health Specialist certificate in the state of Washington. I have over 10 years of experience working with queer populations in various settings and levels of care. I have over 5 years experience writing successful gender care referral letters and train others to do so as well. I provide free/reduced cost gender care assessments. I have completed various trainings on working with the queer community, including on current SOC for queer and genderqueer folks. I am certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) including Trauma Focused CBT and am a certified Intuitive Eating counselor. My other therapy modalities include Feminist Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Art/Expressive Therapies.
I further am a member and current team lead for SHEAUXTIME Collective Inc (SCI) which is a nonprofit organization working to increase Asexual spectrum identity representation in media. I have collaborated with queer educators and creators on social media and for workshops around Aspec identities. I have also participated and been an elected board member of my local PRIDE organization leading the youth outreach team. As a part of volunteer and advocacy work, I like to put together trainings and participate on panels for Aspec education and awareness as well as projects for queer folks in general. I am a member of the WA Mental Health Counselor Association and participate in the Legislative Action Committee in order to increase awareness for those in my area and push for advocacy in legislation around queer issues in my field.
