I am a licensed clinical psychologist who offers culturally affirming psychotherapy to high-achieving adults, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent individuals, and other marginalized communities. As a queer, neurodivergent person myself, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to my work with LGBTQ+ clients, particularly those navigating complex intersections of identity, cultural expectations, and systemic oppression.
My approach is relational, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe bringing their full, authentic selves into the therapy room without needing to over-explain their experiences. My clinical work often focuses on helping clients explore and affirm their gender, sexual, racial, and cultural identities while managing anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and relational challenges.
I have extensive experience providing LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, with a focus on supporting clients through gender exploration, sexual identity development, internalized stigma, and minority stress. My clinical training emphasized intersectional care and included working in community mental health, private practice, and college counseling settings where LGBTQ+ clients were a significant focus of my caseload.
In addition to my clinical work, I engage in ongoing education related to LGBTQ+ mental health, cultural humility, and anti-racist practice. I have participated in numerous professional development trainings, workshops, and CEUs focused on gender-affirming care, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, and working with queer and trans people of color (QTPOC). I stay informed on current best practices and evolving language within LGBTQ+ communities to ensure my work remains affirming, relevant, and aligned with my clients’ lived experiences.
I prioritize LGBTQ+ inclusion at every level, from the language we use to our intake forms and practice policies. I am committed to providing affirming, client-centered care that acknowledges the broader systemic contexts impacting LGBTQ+ mental health while fostering resilience, self-compassion, and authentic connection.
