Hello! My name is Emily and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who provides client-centered, weight-inclusive care for eating disorders, disordered eating, diabetes, digestive concerns, and other issues related to nutrition and the relationship with food.
Fat liberation, harm reduction, and centering bodily autonomy are key frameworks that inform my practice. I strive to always provide trauma-informed care. I consider my work to be neurodiversity-affirming.
Working to support the LGBTQ+ community and always striving to best understand the unique barriers that queer, trans and gender diverse folx face in eating disorder treatment and recovery is central to my values as a provider and a human. I helped to shape the first LGBTQ+-specific eating disorder treatment program in the country. I served as the dietitian for this program for 2.5 years, supporting individuals and tailoring group education and support to the specific population. During this experience, I had the opportunity to train with and learn from other LGBTQ+ providers and provide education to others about the benefit of LGBTQ+-specific eating disorder care.
I believe centering the individual experience, validating and valuing different identities, and supporting folx in finding community is key in helping people recover from eating disorders and build a more peaceful relationship with food and body.
I value openness in communication about your care. Please feel free to reach out with questions, whether it be about my approach, insurance, or something else.
