Hello! I am an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work Policy and Practice where I received my Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) and Rutgers University where I received my Masters in Social Work (MSW). I have worked in the field of mental and behavioral health since 2007. Additionally, I have been a New Jersey Approved Clinical Supervisor since 2016, and have provided clinical supervision for Licensed Social Workers (LSW) and Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) towards terminal licensure.
In addition to providing clinical supervision, consultation, and professional presentations I have worked in a variety of settings and with all types of people as a clinical social worker. I have helped individuals dealing with many clinical concerns, including: depression, mood dysregulation, decision-making issues, anxiety, obsessions and phobias, traumatic stress, family conflict, bereavement, environmental stressors, and challenges specific to the LGBTQIA+ community.
My clinical work focuses in particular on the following approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Relational Therapy, Anti-oppressive and intersectional perspectives, Solution Focused and Strengths Based Therapies, and Psychodynamic theories of counseling. I am a certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am also an adjunct instructor, have worked in human service program and college counseling management, and volunteer as part of New Jersey’s Traumatic Loss Coalition (TLC). I believe in bringing insights from these experiences into my clinical and supervisory relationships, as they offer a richness and context to those discussions.
