Though I’m a straight cis man, I strive to be a strong Ally both professionally and in my own personal life. I have loved ones who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, have worked with multiple clients in exploring their sexuality and gender identity, and would be pleased to work with you. I’m well aware that, sadly, having a nonheteronormative identity isn’t welcome in many parts of Texas; in my office, my main goal is to provide ALL clients, including LGBTQ+ folks, a place where they can feel safe and free from judgment. You matter and your safety and privacy matter.
The main issues I have experience with include depression, anxiety, grief, alcohol use, stress management, and life transitions, but I don’t limit myself to those issues alone.
I endeavor to be nonjudgmental in my practice and approach my clients and their perspectives from a place of curiosity. To that end, I don’t intend to impress any beliefs on you, though I may offer ideas or suggestions. Collaboration is key and your feedback is welcome at any point in the therapeutic process. So, feel free to ask me any questions you may have and let’s get started.
