Jamieson has worked for more than 15 years with diverse and creative community-building projects such as songwriting workshops, and theatre festivals that draw on emotional experiences for healing and community-building through song and dance.
His therapy draws on inner strengths and creative expression to manage complex thoughts and emotions. Jamieson has lived experience as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and has worked extensively in culturally diverse groups writing, collaborating, and performing in theatre and music.
Life can get overwhelming at times and having someone to talk to and collaborate with on your goals, challenges, and emotional turmoil can help to put things in perspective and create a plan for success.
It can be challenging to navigate a world in the face of oppression, disability, stigma, and other barriers.
Jamieson focuses on the power of thought and intention, psychoeducation, metaphor, and ritual to build healthy habits and a healthy balanced life. He believes in meaning-making, the importance of self-efficacy, and perceived control of experiences in the healing process from both cognitive and social-constructivist perspectives
