Hi, I’m Ellie (she/her) and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a queer neurodivergent therapist specializing in ADHD/Autism work, LGBTQIA+ identity & related issues, and trauma. Exploring your sexuality can be exciting, liberating, confusing, and scary. My path to queerness was anything but straight (hah!), but there is no right or wrong way to discover who you are. No matter where you are in your journey, my office is a safe and affirming space to explore all aspects of your identity. Possible topics and issues to discuss include embracing and accepting your identity, finding community, navigating changing relationships, and rediscovering joy in who you are.
I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective, and combine talk therapy (like ACT and DBT) with whole-body approaches (such as EMDR and IFS). In our sessions, you can expect to learn emotion regulation skills, explore the roots of your problems, and actually feel those feelings you’ve been thinking about (I see you, intellectualizers!). I’m also trained in EMDR and ERP, and can help you process trauma and intrusive thoughts in a safe, supportive environment.
Outside the counseling room, you can find me with my diva cat Dolly, practicing aerial arts, reading the latest Emily Henry novel, or exploring Cincinnati’s ice cream scene. I know from my clinical work (as well as my own mental health journey) that wellness isn’t a linear path with a clear start and finish.
