To suffer is human – but to grow and heal is also human. In life, you might experience stress, anxiety, self-criticism, anger, difficult transitions or relationships, chronic pain/health issues, trauma, sleep disturbance, and other challenges. Sometimes, you might feel so stuck or overwhelmed that your usual coping tools are not quite enough. It can be helpful to seek support from a professional who empowers you to overcome life’s challenges by helping you tap into your inner resources and develop new ones. I am a therapist with several years of experience offering such support.
I serve adults (18 and over) from diverse backgrounds. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and have training and experience working with these populations. I strongly believe in providing affirming care. I also have experience working with newcomers, working professionals, and students.
Drawing from CBT, Mindfulness, ACT, Somatic, Psychodynmic, and other therapies, I support clients in changing how they relate to themselves and their experiences; modifying thinking patterns and behaviours; increasing their understanding of their emotions; and cultivating skills to improve mental health.
I use an integrative approach to tailor therapy to individuals’ unique needs and goals. I help clients find self-compassion and inner peace in the present moment while facing hardships.
I value culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, accessible therapy; and I endeavour to bring empathy, authenticity, insight, and calm into the therapy room and clients’ lives.
