I offer compassionate and empathetic mental health services to adult clients in a safe, judgment-free environment for those struggling with emotional dysregulation, trauma, relationship issues, depression/mood disorders, and other problems. My purpose is to serve as a guide for clients to navigate through the process of healing and growth. I use a person-centered, strengths-focused approach that supports clients as individuals who are fully capable of creating positive change. Everyone deserves to be respected, to receive acceptance, and to be deeply valued. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about providing services to individuals who have been discriminated against, marginalized, and who have suffered from trauma as a result of this. I often address religious trauma in my work with clients as well.
I believe strongly in the power of the mind-body connection and in the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I primarily use treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and person-centered therapy, but treatment is tailored to clients as unique individuals. I place emphasis on the core principles of person-centered therapy, including unconditional positive regard, empathic understanding, genuineness, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship.
