I have spent most of my professional career thus far supporting adolescents and adults who hold marginalized sexual and/or gender identities and I find great joy and purpose in doing so.
I love supporting clients through journeys of self-discovery of all kinds, and I am passionate about the support I provide. I specialize in working with clients experiencing a variety of difficulties including depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and neurodivergence in a neurotypical world, but working with the queer community – a community I am very proud to be a part of – is my passion.
I tend to gravitate towards using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in my practice, as I very much enjoy supporting clients in their process of discovering their goals and values and living authentic, liberated, and fulfilling lives. I utilize elements of many other therapeutic approaches depending on client needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Mindfulness, and more. However, I believe that the most important thing in therapy is the relationship between a therapist and client, and I make sure this is a priority throughout the process.
Although it doesn’t have to be, therapy can be a scary thing, especially if it’s your first time. I always give clients space to share with me if they ever feel like their experience of therapy isn’t fitting their needs, and I will work collaboratively with them to ensure that their therapy feels helpful and affirming.
